Introduction 45 minutes before the performance
The 2001 Shakespeare Festival begins with a firework of Shakespearian humour: Dan Jemmet, very well-known at the Globe Neuss for his unforgettable production of "As you like it" (the one with the shower cubicles) and "Dogface" (the one with the caravan) has now thrown himself into the production of "A Comedy of Errors" for the Théâtre Vidy-Lausanne. To pep up this turbulantly
ambiguous comedy he has taken just one incredible actor to play both parts of Dromios and and Antipholus. There is no shower cubicle this time for appearances and disappearances on stage, but rather porta-loos which are positioned next to a beer garden in which the beer barrels play a role...
No one needs french to enjoy this evening, just a good sense of fun!
