Introduction 45 minutes before the performance

Denton Chikura und Tonderai Munyevu, actors from Zimbabwe, bring us an incredible shortened
verson of "Hamlet". The two delighted the globe audience 2 years ago (despite sporting a broken arm) with their interpretation of "Two Gentlemen of Verona.“ This time, in Arne Pohlmeier's production they devote themselves to Hamlet. With the backdrop of the Shona Legacy of Zimbabwe, brought to life with traditional song and dance, they express a completely new view to the real and metaphysical world of acting. They portray Hamlet's battle between this life and the hereafter and his attempt to reconcile both spheres seeing death as a constant.

A completely successful and well-worth-watching variation of the unending Hamlet theme.
