Introduction 45 minutes before the performance
Stephan Loges and Simon Lepper were so delighted by the audience at their last Song
Evening at the Globe Festival in 2010, that soon after during talks a new idea was hatched using
Shakespeare and the opera. The result was this marvellous programme with Soprano Elisabeth Watts as guest, Stephan Loges, as baritone and Simon Lepper, on piano, which covers a vast area from Purcell via German, French, English and Italian romanticism, to Benjamin Britten and some Musical favourites from Leonard Bernstein and Cole Porter.
This was designed and studied for the Globe Neuss - it is a real premiere!
