The Lithuanian director Oskaras Koršunovas is one of the most well-known European directors. At home in Vilnius and clearly influenced by the end of the Soviet domination, he travels with his Oskaras Koršunovas Theater (OKT) to the most important festivals of the world and it is a privilege for the Globe Neuss to be able to present, together with him, his last production, “Miranda“.
Miranda and Prospera are exiled on an island in tight living room stuffed with books and furniture. This is the beginning of a deeply moving interpretation of Shakespeare's “The Tempest: a two-person piece played by the brilliant Povilas Budrys and Airida Gintautaite.
Mysterious, out-of-the-ordinary and liberating- a great work of theatre.
