Richard Gloucester, the evil, the misshapen, the radical desolate, is a virtuous player whose high-stakes, imaginative power play leads to self-destruction. Determined and unscrupulous, Richard is on the way to the top of an already degenerate state. The women, attracted by his power of seduction, repelled by his malignance, curse him and fall for him at the same time. We do not need to look far to discover the Richards of our time...
A new production by the bremer shakespeare company, directed by Ricarda Beilharz.
