An upside-down world: the women wear trousers, the men wear skirts. Once you have grasped that, you, as a spectator, are effortlessly flung with pleasure into Shakespeare's turbulent classic “As You Like It“. And thanks to Shakespeare and Partner, directed by Andreas Erfurth, the comedy gently concludes in a happy end. Yet, on the way, the protagonists in the Forest of Arden have to overcome all sorts of confusions, trials and costumes, until their upside-down world no longer looks so twisted: “All the world is a stage.“
