We are eagerly awaiting the sensational Macbeth production by the Tang Shu-Wing Theatre Studio from Hong Kong whose stunning performance of Titus Andronicus (2013 at Globe Neuss) has lingered in our memory. Tang Shu-Wing's modern interpretation, inspired by the Asian tradition of physical theatre, portrays Macbeth and his Lady as a couple in the 21st century who travel through ancient China. There they take on the roles of the protagonists and suffer their fates. Driven by ambition, they murder their way to the top, until the height of the fall manages to kill them. Stylish, timeless and yet still so relevant.
