“Long live the Queen!“ That is what we all hope for, yet at some point Charles III, the Prince of Wales, will wear the British crown. It is during this period that the Future History Play by Mike Barlett takes place. First performed at the Ameida Theatre in London in 2014, it was an immediate success. The bremer shakespeare company secured the German debut of this popular piece and has now brought the whole “gang“ to the stage: Charles and Camilla, William and Kate, Harry, and even the phantom princess Diana. Embedded in the political intrigues of government and opposition, this is a drama about the royals of Shakespearian scale with a comedic touch.
