A divided nation, restlessness on the continent and an ambitious young prince who is on the path to becoming King Henry V after a wild and licentious youth. His idea of adventure consists of claiming old legal rights to France and launching a conquest across the Channel. But will he manage to conquer the superior strength of French troops with his small army and, moreover, to conquer Princess Katherine? The Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory has commissioned Elizabeth Freestone as director for the staging of this great History Play. Her experiences with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Globe in London will be to her benefit. By the way, keep an eye – and ear - out for the reference to the "Wooden O" in the play's prologue.
