One of the off-theatre productions at the Danzig Shakespeare Festival was an irritatingly fascinating new interpretation of the Taming of the Shrew. This bitter comedy is the story of a father who wants to get his cheeky daughter Kate hitched before the beautiful Bianca. It explores the education of a woman to become an obedient female which takes on completely new dimensions thanks to the metrosexual blurring of established boundaries and a role and gender exchange. A production full of aesthetic pleasures - let yourself be surprised!
