For you my Love! (Programme 2019)

Inspiration for this evening of dance theatre, created by Johanna Richter, stems from those works of Shakespeare which originate in the microcosm of the family: "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", "Othello", "King Lear", "Macbeth" and "Richard III.". Five men - two dancers and three actors – play the heroes’ game: radical, performative, humorous and spontaneous. They show how far one might go in the fight for love, power and honour. Ever deeper the performers themselves are drawn into the maelstrom of power struggle and cross the line into violence. Uncontrollable archaic patterns reflect parallels to our time and the return to civilized humanity appears urgent. Among the performers is the well-known actor Saša Kekez from the series "Sturm der Liebe", as well as the cinema and TV all-rounder Tim Bergmann, who, in fact, 24 years ago, stood on the Globe stage at the Shakespeare Festival in Goldoni's "Krach in Chiozza". An exciting evening for families with teenagers, too.
