Description
Naturally, the popular, witty lecture "Shakespeare and the Globe" must be on the programme again this year! With his humour, lively way of communicating and direct address of the audience, Patrick Spottiswoode has long reached cult status. The head of the Educational Department at the London Globe Theatre conjures the Theatre of the 1600s in the minds of the spectators. Playfully, he explains the dramaturgy and Shakespeare's ingenius use of language, while including the political and social backgrounds of the Elizabethan theatre.
A "must" for all who have not yet experienced this - you will be greatly rewarded!
