Description
There has to be a reason to move from the Globe to the studio of the Rheinische Landestheater for the former’s 30th anniversary: It is a marathon through all 36 Shakespeare plays in a legendary production by Tim Etchells and Forced Entertainment from Sheffield, for which an intimate studio setting is required. They are as captivating as they are touching: the "Complete Works" - every evening four of the comedies, tragedies or histories - recounted in simple English as tabletop theatre pieces. One of the six excellent actors bring their "cast", a combination of everyday utensils such as a sponge, cocktail glass, kitchen grater or espresso pot, to life on the table. The miracle happens in the mind of the viewer where the imagination conjures Shakespeare’s works out of seemingly nothing. During this very special experience, for a limited number of spectators, at this year’s Shakespeare Festival anniversary, we want to give you the unique opportunity to get to know all of Shakespeare’s works.
