Description

A successful cooperation: The bremer shakespeare company has created a bilingual production of Shakespeare's "Coriolanus" together with the Tiyatro BeReZe from Istanbul directed by Do˘gu Ya˛sar Akal. German and Turkish actors and actresses speak in their native languages, but a Pentecostal miracle occurs: You simply understand everything - the joy is so great, the picture so intense, so gripping the political intrigue enforcing tyranny or democracy. Shakespeare’s ancient Roman story of military domination versus tribunes and citizens suddenly regains colour and topicality.
